OPENING FOR DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER (MICRO FINANCE)

About the Job:

With a view to facilitate effective credit support to the needy and marginalized sections of the society, AFC is exploring the possibilities of establishing a Micro Finance Institution under NBFC. To help AFC to steer the proposed institution, it plans to recruit a senior level executive as Micro Finance Expert to join its team as Deputy General Manager(Microfinance). The incumbent would be responsible for business developments of AFC through consultancy, mobilization of resources, capacity building of various stakeholders and should be capable of operating the MFI through team building and leading from the front.

The DGM(Microfinance) shall be reporting to Managing Director and will be located at New Delhi.

Task/Responsibilities:

	1.	To work as a member of senior management team towards achieving the corporate goal as envisaged by the Board of AFC;
	2.	To mobilize resources from government, international donors, financial institutions, multi-national companies, etc., to strengthen Micro Finance activities ;
	3.	Develop suitable proposals, prepare project reports, etc., for funding from the internal/external credit agencies;
	4.	Develop appropriate policies, procedures and operationalize the same upto grass root level;
	5.	To project AFC’s role in Micro Finance at various National/International fera and to build up a corporate image in the sector.

Skills/Qualifications/Experience required:

	1.	Post Graduate degree in Economis /MBA (Finance) or any discipline related to Microfinance.
	2.	At least 20 years of exposure in any commercial bank, NABARD/RBI, financial company, NBFC or Micro Finance Institution – of which at least 10 years should be in a Management level directly involved in Microfinance.
	3.	Conceptually sound on policies and practices of various Microfinance initiatives in India and abroad.
	4.	Effective communication skill in English and Hindi essential. Knowledge of other Indian languages will be advantageous.
	5.	Proficient in computer skills ( Windows, Word, Excel and preferably other statistical software);

Place of Posting

The likely location would be Delhi. However, the candidate should be willing to relocate anywhere in India, and would be required to travel frequently . Must be able to and willing to travel within and outside India.

Appointment & Remuneration:

The scales of pay in AFC are at par with Commercial Banks. The scale of pay for Deputy General Manager is Rs.26620-680/4-29340.

However, initially, the incumbent will be appointed on contract basis for a period of three years on lumpsum remuneration. The monthly remuneration payable will be based on his qualifications and experience, and could be negotiated after the interview.

The candidates willing to join on Deputation will also be considered.
