PREPARATION OF PRE FEASIBILITY AND DETAILED PROJECT CUM APPRAISAL REPORT FOR REFURBISHING OF FURFURAL PLANT AND SETTING UP OF MAIZE PROCESSING UNIT AT KENYA

M/S Equip Agencies Ltd., Nairobi, Kenya has assigned the captioned project to AFC. The proposed plant is to be set up at Eldoret, centre of the three maize growing areas of Kenya viz., Kitale, Bungoma, and Nakuru.

The Capacity of the proposed plant is 5000mt p.a of Furfural and capacity of 60000mt per annum of Maize cobs. The main products would be Furfural, Acetic acid, Formic Acid and main raw material for processing is Maize.

AFC team led by Shri A K Garg, Managing Director and Shri P M Kshirsagar, General Manager, Shri Ravindra Dnyansagar,Furfural & Maize Expert and Shri P R Raheja,Cogeneration Expert visited Kenya from 10 September to 17 September 2006.
